Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a PV Field Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for solar and battery energy storage systems across sites in the greater Houston area. Based at Red Tailed Hawk PV Solar Farm, the role focuses on troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety of renewable assets.

Qualified candidates hold a ABET-accredited degree in a technical field, 3–5 years of utility-scale PV ops experience, OSHA 30

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field from an ABET-accredited university.
3–5 years of experience in utility-scale PV operations.
Knowledge of PV and BESS components, SCADA platforms, and digital maintenance tools like Maximo.
OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to safety standards.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to North Texas PV sites.

Responsibilities

Lead or support troubleshooting of inverters, trackers, combiner boxes, and power stations; respond to faults.
Monitor performance data using SCADA, PI Vision; perform preventive maintenance with documentation in Maximo/ETM.
Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues; support site inspections and commissioning activities.
Train field technicians; manage warranty coordination with OEMs; enforce safety protocols.
