PV & BESS Design Lead

Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead and coordinate PV and BESS design efforts across clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams. You will drive IFC packages, ensure on-time delivery, and manage RFIs, change events, and handovers to Solar Operations.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, you will mentor junior staff, travel up to 15%, and collaborate with AHJs and 3rd parties to optimize value engineering and design quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ applicable industry experience in PV, HV, BESS and/or SCADA design
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and design reviews

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities for multiple projects to ensure design deliverables meet requirements
• Own client interface for technical issues during the design phase
• Mentor junior team members and support contractor engagements
• Facilitate design reviews and ensure timely handovers to operations
