Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a DLP Senior Analyst - Purview to design, implement, and manage data governance, compliance, and information protection using Microsoft Purview across Microsoft 365 and Azure. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Applications, Records Management, Data and AI, Risk and Privacy teams to enforce data protection and lifecycle practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security/compliance engineering or data governance
• Hands-on Purview capabilities: Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk, Records Management, eDiscovery
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools
• Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and remediate data protection issues in Microsoft 365 environments

Responsabilités

• Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions for classification, retention, and compliance
• Implement and manage data security controls including DLP, Insider Risk, and eDiscovery workflows
• Protect sensitive data via classification, labeling, encryption, access governance, and monitoring
• Develop and enforce compliance policies across regulatory and contractual requirements
• Build automated data governance workflows enabling lifecycle management and secure data sharing
• Integrate Purview insights into SOC, incident response, and GRC processes
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Legal, and Compliance to balance regulatory obligations with operations
• Create and maintain documentation for data classification, retention, and incident response
• Monitor Purview alerts and investigate risks, recommending remediation
• Participate in risk assessments, audits, and compliance efforts (ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
• Stay current with data governance tech and best practices
