Job summary

Cyclotron, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Microsoft Purview Compliance Engineer for remote work in the US or Canada. You will design and implement governance, compliance, and risk solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365, with a focus on data classification, retention, and protection.

You will collaborate with architects and client teams to deliver secure, scalable Purview deployments. You will lead policy development, ensure regulatory alignment, and generate comprehensive as‑built documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, services, and security best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and security configurations.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for governance, compliance, and risk assessment functionalities.
• Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.
• Excellent problem‑solving and fast‑paced work ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Azure or Microsoft 365 security certifications.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Background in IT compliance or risk management.
• Experience deploying Defender, Entra, Intune and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design Purview solutions for data governance, compliance, and risk across Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Develop policies for data classification, retention, and protection.
• Collaborate with Purview Architect and client teams to align with policies and requirements.
• Monitor data access and usage compliance with Purview tools.
• Coordinate with teams to integrate Purview with Azure services and 365 apps.
• Provide technical guidance on Purview capabilities and best practices.
• Stay updated on Azure and Microsoft 365 compliance features.
