Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Pursuit Leader within the Earth & Environment business line, Federal Sector, with flexibility to base in any U.S. city where WSP operates.

The role collaborates with senior leaders to position and pursue federal contracts, including USACE and Air Force, and to drive improved win rates. Responsibilities include leading complex pursuits end-to-end, coordinating with capture, technical, and legal teams, and leveraging AI tools to enhance proposal quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism or related field.
• 7+ years leading large federal proposals in environmental, compliance, and remediation services ($5M–$500M).
• SF330 proposal experience required.
• Strong communication to influence or persuade.
• Leadership with personal accountability and goal orientation.
• Strong business acumen and process improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of pursuit development from creation through submission.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and logistics.
• Competitive drive to win; ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Lead priority pursuits end-to-end, including strategy, messaging, and compliance.
• Gather and synthesize client and competitor intelligence to sharpen messaging.
• Produce schedules and compliance matrices; manage kickoff and sessions.
• Oversee pursuit teams and monitor progress per WSP standards.
• Collaborate with technical staff to write, review, and edit content.
• Coordinate with capture managers, leads, SMEs, and legal teams.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve proposal quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with graphic design to plan graphics; InDesign proficiency needed.
• Coach presentation teams for interview strategy and Q&A prep.
• Debrief post procurement; ensure policy compliance and Go/No-Go gating.
