Job summary

Just-Evotec is seeking an Associate Scientist to design purification processes for mammalian-derived biotherapeutics in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. You will work on high-throughput robotic screening and continuous processing to enable a flexible manufacturing facility.

You will drive purification development, operate state-of-the-art equipment, analyze data, and contribute to tech transfer while collaborating across disciplines. A strong curiosity and proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
• Knowledge of mammalian downstream purification development and chromatography theory.
• Experience with viral filtration and single-pass TFF operations.
• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop purification processes for biotherapeutics and improve efficiency.
• Record lab work in electronic lab notebooks and batch records.
• Prepare buffers, media, and chromatography column hardware.
• Operate AKTA Avant, Unicorn, PMAT, NFF systems, Repligen TFF systems, and glass washers.
• Analyze chromatography data and present findings to the team.
• Support technology transfer to manufacturing facilities.
• Contribute to platform development to reduce cost and improve purification efficiency.
• Share findings and ideas in team settings and presentations.
