Job summary

Custom Processing Services, Inc. seeks a Chemical Technician to safely operate chromatography columns (Novasep LC150/LC1000) and related equipment in a GMP/regulated environment.

The role includes column packing, cleaning, sanitization, process-monitoring, and meticulous documentation supporting batch records and quality standards. The technician will follow SOPs, work in a team, and ensure operational readiness of equipment and facilities while maintaining strict safety practices and ALCOA+

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, bioprocessing, chromatography, or related industrial environment.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs, batch records, and written instructions.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals and process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate chromatography columns and associated pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, and process equipment per SOPs and batch docs.
• Perform column preparation, packing, equilibration, loading, washing, elution, regeneration and other chromatography operations.
• Clean and sanitize columns and equipment using approved procedures and chemicals.
• Handle process chemicals, buffers, cleaning solutions, and materials per procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor process parameters (pressure, flow, temperature, conductivity, pH) and respond to abnormal conditions.
• Complete batch records, equipment logs, cleaning records, checklists, and documentation accurately per ALCOA+.
