Location: Remote Work From Home

Duration: TBD, starting part-time and growing to full-time until migration completion

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on IT Architect to assist our client in migrating their current NetApp SolidFire storage environment to PURE Storage using Cirrus Data Solutions' Cirrus Migrate Cloud.

The Architect will play a dual role: providing pre-sales advisory support to validate the opportunity and scope the migration, and leading the hands-on execution of the migration.

This role requires deep expertise in storage migrations, experience with Cirrus Migrate Cloud or similar tools, and strong Pure Storage optimization skills.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales and Planning Phase

• Engage with client’s technical teams to analyze and confirm migration opportunity
• Assess storage environment to validate Cirrus Migrate Cloud as the appropriate tool
• Provide recommendations on architecture, migration planning, risk mitigation, and timelines
• Develop detailed migration strategy, design, and runbook

Migration Execution Phase

• Lead and execute the migration from NetApp SolidFire to Pure Storage using Cirrus Migrate Cloud
• Maintain hands-on involvement throughout the migration
• Mitigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during migration
• Monitor and report status, escalate issues, ensure minimal downtime

Post-Migration Optimization

• Optimize Pure Storage environment for performance and reliability
• Implement best practices for configuration, workload placement, QoS, and data reduction
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to client staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years as a Storage Architect in enterprise environments
• Experience migrating NetApp SolidFire environments
• Hands-on expertise with Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade is a plus)
• Experience with Cirrus Data Solutions products, especially Cirrus Migrate Cloud
• Knowledge of storage networking, block migrations, and replication technologies
• Strong troubleshooting skills for storage performance and availability issues
• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Independent working capability with stakeholder communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pure Storage certifications (e.g., PCSA, PCSE)
• Experience with cloud-connected storage migrations
• Knowledge of Pure Storage features like Purity OS, QoS, Data Reduction
