Job summary

TalentCompass is seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for an on-site role in Canton, GA. You will lead the purchasing team, shape demand forecasting, and optimize inventory while ensuring high service levels across domestic and international suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a track record in distribution procurement, ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), and experience in supplier relationships and import logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a purchasing or supply chain function in a distribution environment.
• Proven ability in demand forecasting and inventory planning.
• Experience developing supplier scorecards and conducting vendor negotiations.
• ERP systems experience; NetSuite preferred.
• Knowledge of tariff classifications and import logistics.
• Background in industrial distribution or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the purchasing team with coaching and structure.
• Build demand forecasting and inventory planning processes.
• Develop purchasing strategies to optimize stock and service levels.
• Establish vendor scorecards and negotiation frameworks.
• Lead supplier negotiations to improve pricing and terms.
• Drive working capital improvements via inventory optimization.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Oversee tariff classifications and import compliance activities.
• Partner with warehouse, customer service, product management and accounting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
