Job summary

Vac-Con, Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to lead our purchasing team and ensure materials arrive on time, costs are controlled, and production runs smoothly.

You will build strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and contracts, use data and forecasting to plan demand, balance inventory, and partner with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to keep lines moving and improvements advancing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.
• Build supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms.
• Use data, forecasting, and demand planning to anticipate material needs.
• Keep inventory levels balanced while preventing shortages and excess stock.
• Partner with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to keep things moving.
