Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in Saint Cloud, MN to manage the ordering, distribution, invoicing, and monitoring of company supplies including uniforms and casual wear.

The role requires accurate data entry, strong communication, and the ability to handle inventory for vehicles and shop materials. Typical hours are Monday–Friday with day shift responsibilities and a starting pay range of $23.00–$28.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Clerical experience preferred and relevant administrative duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage ordering, distributing, invoicing, and billing of uniforms and company casuals.
• Order and replenish company supplies.
• Answer phones and emails, and take messages for the department.
• Enter daily invoices from vendors into inventory system.
• Move daily transfers from corporate to branch locations.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts of all supplies.
• Perform general filing, cleaning, and maintenance of office space.
• Interact with vendors and sales personnel.
• Manage vehicle parts inventory and tracking, including stocking and reconciliation.
• Process incoming parts and materials and coordinate outbound shipping.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and proper storage of parts.
• Place, track, and fulfill parts orders via phone and email.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure parts availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts to prevent shortages.

Job Summary

The Purchasing Specialist will prepare, track, ship, and monitor supplies for the company.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM OR 7:30AM-4:30PM
• Starting wage: $23.00-$28.25 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the ordering, distributing, invoicing, and billing of uniforms and company casuals
• Order company supplies
• Answer phone calls, emails, and take messages for the department
• Receive daily invoices from vendors and enter into current inventory
• Enter daily transfers from corporate location to branch locations
• Perform periodic complete inventory counts of all supplies
• General filing duties, cleaning, and maintenance of office space
• Interact with vendors and sales personnel
• Manage inventory for both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, including parts tracking, stocking, and reconciliation
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts and materials; coordinate outbound shipping as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and organization of parts
• Place, track, and fulfill parts orders to support maintenance and operational needs
• Take and process parts orders via phone and email, ensuring accuracy and timely response
• Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and service departments to ensure parts availability
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts to prevent shortages or delays
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Clerical or administrative experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work with all types of freight, including hazardous materials, perishable foods and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
