Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. in St. Cloud, MN, is hiring a Data Entry Clerk to accurately input data into our billing system for accounts receivable and to assist customers at the walk-in counter.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with starting pay of $19.00-$24.25 per hour, based on experience. Duties include opening the counter, greeting customers, and entering package data for shipments.

Job Summary

The Data Entry department will accurately input data into a billing system for accounts receivable purposes and assist customers in our walk-in counter.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Starting Pay: $19.00-$24.25 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Pay Grade and Position Status

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and open walk-in counter daily
• Greet and assist customers with parcels for shipment
• Utilize hand-held pad to enter packages for pick up or inbound scans
• Accurately enter package information into billing system using the 10-key portion of a keyboard as well as a desk top scanner
• Interact with customers via telephone and email regarding questions concerning their daily shipping paperwork
• Balance and count cash drawer daily
• Sort billing sheets into numerical order
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Clerical or administrative experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering the phone
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
