Job summary

Spee-Dee Delivery Service, Inc. in Fergus Falls Township, MN is seeking a Warehouse Support to assist daily operations across warehouse and transportation. You will handle packages, support route coverage, park vehicles and fuel trucks to keep deliveries on schedule.

The role runs Monday–Friday with a 5:00 PM start and may require variable shifts. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $31.75 per hour based on experience, with overtime after 40 hours and compensation growth through performance and equity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• 1+ year of leadership/transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in parking/fueling vehicles and cover routes when needed.
• Ensure trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and management to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain yard/building security and assist in sorting freight.
• Cover various shifts and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Support role assists with daily operations by supporting both warehouse and transportation functions as needed. This position helps ensure efficient workflow by handling packages, assisting with route coverage when needed, parking vehicles, and fueling trucks.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 5:00PM Start
• May be expected to cover variable shifts based on business needs
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $25.00-$31.75 per hour, based on experience
  • The posted pay range reflects the compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity. Employees are generally hired below the maximum of the range to allow room for future compensation growth as they gain experience, develop their skills and demonstrate increased proficiency in the role. Compensation increases are based on applicable company policies, performance and individual development

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to assist in parking/fueling vehicles
• Cover routes when needed
• Ensure trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches
• Communicate with warehouse staff and other management to resolve discrepancies
• Manage security of the yard and building
• Assist in stacking and sorting to ensure the flow of freight
• Ability to cover various shifts
• Perform other required duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn
• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Education and Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards
• 1+ year of experience in leadership and transportation industry preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight weighing up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
