Job summary

Process Supply, Inc., based in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist and Safety Coordinator to join the team. This hourly role reports to the General Manager and involves coordinating purchase orders, vendor communications, and safety programs to ensure on-time deliveries and safe operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, 1+ year of purchasing and 1+ year of safety experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• 1+ years of purchasing experience.
• 1+ years of safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Print and review weekly Open Purchase Order Report indicating due dates.
• Contact vendors via phone, email, or fax for status updates.
• Update inventory system upon acceptable ship date from vendor.
• Negotiate with vendors on ship dates per GM guidance.
• Communicate status updates to affected personnel about purchase orders.
• Check mill order acknowledgements for accuracy.
• Scan printed purchase orders into the document retrieval system.
• Daily review of Excel spreadsheets for conversion orders with late material shipping.
• Assist the GM in other purchasing-related tasks as needed.
• Monitor and report conflicts between safety systems and operations.
