Job summary

Role learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self-development and requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review loan files submitted electronically from a network of participating lenders to determine whether the loan can be purchased.
  • Identify missing, incomplete or inaccurate items using the purchase checklist, program guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
  • Produce Ineligible, Post Purchase and Conditional notices to identify outstanding items.
  • Coordinate additional follow-up on loans until all conditions are cleared.
  • Learn and understand the requirements for setting up and maintaining warehouse lender information and for Bailee Agreements.
  • Work with other units or departments to resolve purchase edit issues.
  • Review loan purchase mail submitted via the electronic document system and update and/or clear the file accordingly.
  • Compile and process the daily edit for the Accounting and Loan Servicing Division when assigned.
  • Review the information on the edit for accuracy.
  • Process the weekly Trustee Report and all backup documentation when assigned, including a final review of the notes and assignment of mortgage on applicable program types.
  • Understand the requirements of documents for loans placed in GNMA and FNMA pools.
  • Work with lenders to clarify issues and resolve outstanding problems through email and calls.
  • Communicate with the lender and other partners on lender or loan level details and communicate repetitive problem lender issues with Business Development.
