East Bay Tire Co. is seeking a Purchasing Manager in California to protect the company’s promise by ensuring the right tire inventory is available on time and at the right cost. The role focuses on translating purchasing strategy into dependable service across diverse tire categories.

You will lead supplier relationships, drive demand planning, and collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to optimize turns and margins, while maintaining tight controls and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing/procurement, inventory management, or supply chain; industry experience preferred.
• Strong Excel, inventory systems, organization, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute purchasing strategy, replenishment, and demand forecasting.
• Lead vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, programs, and performance expectations.
• Partner with sales, operations, warehouse, and leadership to balance availability, turns, and profitability.
• Oversee purchasing activities and improve processes, controls, and reporting.
• Provide financial and inventory analysis to guide decisions and reduce risk.
