Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager for Life Sciences North America will manage the procurement of major capital equipment and materials for large and critical projects (Total Installed Cost $200 M–$1 B or higher importance). The role coordinates and supervises daily activities of a team of buyers, reporting directly to the Manager of Procurement Services and indirectly to the Project Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement transactions for capital engineered equipment and key materials.
  • Supervise a team of buyers, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of project components.
  • Develop and maintain procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and finance to optimize value and mitigate risk.
  • Provide guidance on contract terms, vendor qualification, and best‑practice sourcing strategies.

Salary
