Job summary

LevelUP HCS is seeking a hands-on Materials Leader to drive inbound materials, inventory, warehouse operations, and plant purchasing across the production environment in Wisconsin. You will partner with operations, planning, maintenance, and suppliers to eliminate shortages, improve visibility, and sustain smooth daily production.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, or manufacturing.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of material flow and inventory management.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers, transportation providers, and production support.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions.
  • Exposure to purchasing or procurement execution preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase plant materials, maintenance supplies, equipment, and indirect goods while balancing cost, delivery, inventory levels, and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers and transportation partners.
  • Monitor material availability and address delays or shortages.
  • Improve material movement and visibility throughout the operation.
  • Partner with planning, production, warehouse, and maintenance to keep manufacturing running without interruption.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline material flow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create an organized, accurate inventory environment supporting daily production and long-term success.
  • Improve inventory accuracy through cycle counts and ERP transaction discipline.
  • Establish better warehouse organization, labeling, storage, and inventory control processes.
  • Balance inventory levels while maintaining service to production.
  • Ensure critical production materials, repair parts, and MRO inventory are readily available.
  • Drive continuous improvements in inventory management and warehouse performance.
  • Provide day-to-day purchasing support to keep materials, services, and supplies flowing into the operation.
  • Oversee purchase order execution and supplier follow-through.
  • Expedite critical material requirements and resolve delivery issues.
  • Partner with strategic sourcing on supplier performance and material availability.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support plant operations by ensuring purchased materials arrive on time.

Job description

Manufacturing depends on more than just purchasing materials—it depends on executing every step required to get those materials where they need to be. This role is responsible for leading the daily movement of inbound materials, inventory, warehouse operations, and production support while overseeing plant purchasing activities.

You'll work closely with operations, production, maintenance, planning, suppliers, and logistics partners to eliminate material shortages, improve inventory performance, and ensure the plant has what it needs to operate efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, improving processes, and leading from the floor.

How You'll Make an Impact
Drive Material Flow Across the Plant

Ensure raw materials, production supplies, and purchased components move efficiently from supplier to receiving, warehouse, and ultimately the production floor.

  • Foster a culture centered on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, inventory control, supply chain, or manufacturing.
