Responsible for directing and managing activities of the purchasing department in the procurement of materials and components to support existing products and new product development programs to ensure a stable and quality supply chain in maintained to meet customer requirements and company's strategic initiatives.

Candidate skills & requirements

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to interface with all functional and cross-functional teams requiring the sourcing of services, components and materials for the production of life support products.
• Direct contract negotiations with major suppliers to secure a consistent supply of quality components at competitive prices.
• Work closely with new product development team to understand present and pending and ensure required level of support for new product development.
• Ensure components and materials are delivered on-time, within cost parameters and that meet quality specifications
• Prepare and maintain standard language for purchase orders and work with legal to finalize contracts/agreements to assure that proper flow down of customer requirements are communicated to suppliers.
• Lead effort to reduce material variances on purchased components.
• Responsible for achieving annual cost reduction targets established by Director of Supply Chain.
• Measure and consolidate on supplier time delivery
• Manage all procurement KPI's, and improvement plan
• Data management of key parameters in ERP
• Manage disputes and escalation when needed
• Propose procurement process improvement plan
• Manage procurement team and develop skills
• Manage yearly cost roll in ERP
