Job summary

The Hyatt Regency Savannah is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee storeroom operations, limited hotel supply purchasing, receiving, and invoice processing. This role will supervise one staff member and ensure quality control, accurate inventory, and effective use of purchasing systems.

The position is physical, requiring lifting and moving items around the property. Prior food and beverage experience is preferred to inspect perishable goods and maintain high quality.

• Strong communication skills, written & verbal.
• Ability to walk regularly throughout the day, and the ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight on a consistent basis.
• Proficient in using a computer, Microsoft Excel, and Word with the ability to learn new systems.
• Must be able to multitask, be detail-oriented, and have good organizational skills.
• Must have a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to lead a team, including managing performance and accountability.
• Requires open schedule availability, which may include weekends and holiday.

This is a physical position that will involve lifting, pushing, and pulling items throughout the hotel. Food and beverage experience is preferred as this person will need to inspect perishable items to ensure they are of good quality.
