Integrated Power Services, LLC. (IPS) in Utah seeks a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings across manufacturing operations.

You will lead a team, negotiate with vendors, and leverage ERP/MRP to ensure material availability and process efficiency. This role emphasizes lean manufacturing, inventory control, and collaboration with production teams to minimize shortages.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree preferred; APICS CPIM preferred.
• 5-7 years’ supply chain experience and 3-4 years purchasing management experience in manufacturing preferred.
• 3-4 years’ ERP/MRP experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
• Direct warehouse personnel and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Negotiate with suppliers and solicit RFQs for materials.
• Set and pursue yearly cost reduction goals and strategic plans.
• Maintain supplier metrics: on-time shipments, NCRs & warranty.
• Use ERP for master planning and inventory optimization.
• Travel to customer sites and projects as needed.

If that sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for, we invite you to join us!Benefits:· Paid Time Off (PTO)· 401k Employer Match· Bonus Incentives· Extensive Training & Career Development Programs· Tuition Reimbursement Program· Medical, Dental and Vision plans· Employee Assistance Program (EAP)· And more!Responsibilities & Expectations:IPS is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and supplier relationships while driving cost savings, inventory efficiency, material availability, and continuous improvement across our operations.Lead and direct the activities of Purchasing Rep(s).Manage warehouse personnel.Actively seek and qualify new suppliers.Negotiate and maintaining all strategic vender relationships.Directly solicit competitive RFQ’s for new materials.Develop and set yearly cost reductions goals and strategic plans to attain targets.Maintain supplier metrics – on time shipments, NCR’s & warranty.Conduct vendor audits and prequalification visits.Work with warehouse personnel to ensure best practices are in place for inventory control.Work with production personnel to reduce the number of material shortages.Work with suppliers and Purchasing Rep(s) to expedite past due materials.Work with quality and process improvement teams on efficiency and process improvements.Embrace lean manufacturing concepts and identify waste and methods to streamline materials management process.Utilize ERP to maximize supply chain efficiency by reducing the number of unique purchase line items through a combination of master planning and inventory.Steward purchasing for division needs.Procure bids for needed material, services and equipment.Travel to customer sites and projects as needed.Other duties as assigned.Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)Keep work area clean and organized.Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.Qualifications and Competencies:BS or BA degree preferred.APICS CPIM preferred.5-7 years’ supply chain experience and 3-4 years purchasing management experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.3-4 years’ experience with ERP systems that utilize Master Planning and MRP required.Computer experience working on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programsYou’ll thrive at IPS if you…• Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
