You will manage two purchasing assistants, optimize inventory, and implement processes to reduce costs and improve supplier performance. A BS in supply chain or business, 3+ years of leadership, and ERP/procurement software experience are required; a strong problem-solving, detail-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• BS degree in supply chain management or business administration.
• 3+ years of leading a team.
• 2+ years of purchasing or supply chain planning experience.
• Experience with ERP and procurement platforms or inventory software.
• GPA 3.2 or greater.

Responsibilities

• The Purchasing Manager will oversee two Purchasing Assistants and ensure team performance.
• Maintain inventory to meet service levels while considering freight, lead times and usage forecasts.
• Own or oversee PO creation through invoicing with lead-time tracking.
• Utilize advanced purchasing software to support purchasing efforts.
• Develop and implement new procedures to enhance efficiency and lower costs.
• Collect and analyze data and use results to improve profitability and efficiency.

Falcon Technologies, Inc. , in Maryland Heights MO is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our team.This position will oversee the company’s acquisition of goods while balancing cost, quality and delivery speed to maintain smooth operations.

We are recruiting for this position due to an upcoming retirement.

Falcon Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1990.We are a distributor of low voltage IT, Audio/Video and Security infrastructure materials.We sell Nationwide to contractors and direct to businesses. We are a privately owned company, which allows us to evolve as market conditions change.

The Purchasing Manager will:

• Manage two Purchasing Assistants to ensure the team meets expectations.


• Maintain inventory to meet established service levels for items we stock and returns while considering freight allowed, lead times andusage forecasts.


• Either complete or oversee the process from creation of PO through submitter, confirmation, lead times, tracking, and invoicing.


• Utilize advanced purchasing software to support purchasing efforts.


• Develop and implement new procedures to enhance efficiency and lower costs.


• Collect and analyze data. Utilize results to improve performance, profitability, and efficiency.
