Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement/strategic sourcing experience
• Demonstrated supplier strategy development and contract negotiation experience
• Experience leading teams and coaching staff
• Strong understanding of purchasing systems and process improvement
• Strategic and analytical mindset with strong cross-department collaboration

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic purchasing initiatives, evaluating supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, and overall supplier performance
• Lead and support an experienced team of Buyers, establishing priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring purchasing activities align with broader business objectives
• Evaluate, develop, and improve purchasing processes, systems, and workflows to create greater efficiency, consistency, and scalability
• Partner with IT and cross-functional leadership to leverage ERP systems, technology, and data to streamline purchasing operations and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead purchasing-related projects and strategic initiatives, collaborating with Operations, Finance, and other departments to support organizational growth and operational effectiveness.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and execute strategic purchasing initiatives, evaluating supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, and overall supplier performance
• Lead and support an experienced team of Buyers, establishing priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring purchasing activities align with broader business objectives

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or a related discipline, preferably within a manufacturing or similarly complex environment
• Demonstrated experience developing supplier strategies, negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor performance, and improving purchasing practices
• Previous experience leading or managing teams, with the ability to coach employees, provide direction, and drive accountability
• Strong understanding of purchasing systems, ERP technology, process improvement, and project management, with a track record of implementing operational efficiencies
• Strategic, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and drive organizational change.
