Job summary

Yami, founded in 2013, is a global e-commerce platform connecting people with authentic flavors and trending products from Asia. A Purchasing Assistant will support the merchandising team with day-to-day buying tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate product listings and costs.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates well, and can collaborate across teams including warehouse and Accounts Payable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 1+ year of purchasing/retail or e-commerce experience.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin; strong communication.
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up new product listings, maintain costs, and place purchase orders.
• Collaborate with warehouse to resolve inbound issues and shelving efficiency.
• Handle RMAs, credit memos, and follow-ups on processes.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to process invoices for open-to-buy.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all product details and listings.
