Job summary

The Purchase Assistant in the Materials Management Warehouse for State of New York will place orders, track them, and maintain inventory. You will supervise staff, ensure par levels, and coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure timely deliveries.

You must have an associates degree with 2 years in purchasing or related fields, a NYS driver license, and basic computer skills. Lawson MM familiarity preferred; work Sunday-Thursday 7:30-4:00 with holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 2 years of relevant purchasing, warehouse or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid NYS driver's license (non-commercial) and be able to lift, push and pull up to 100lbs.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Preferred: Materials inventory experience; Lawson MM software.

Responsibilities

• Place orders, track orders, maintain and replenish inventory.
• Supervise a small staff, including scheduling and training.
• Coordinate services with administrative, purchasing, vendors and customers.
• Ensure deliveries and drivers are accurate and efficient with routes and GPS.
• Reconcile invoices with Accounts Payable and track purchase orders.
