Job summary

Kato Cable is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in Mankato, Minnesota to provide administrative and transactional support to our Purchasing team. You will manage purchase order activities, communicate with suppliers, and maintain accurate information in our ERP system.

You’ll work closely with Buyers and the Strategic Sourcing team to ensure orders are acknowledged, maintained, and delivered on schedule, supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Performs administrative and transactional purchasing tasks with accuracy.
• Maintains records and documentation for audit trails.
• Communicates with suppliers and internal teams professionally.
• Ensures timely processing of purchase orders and acknowledgments.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders as directed by Buyers and track them.
• Review and distribute purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring accuracy.
• Obtain supplier acknowledgements and verify pricing, quantities, and delivery dates in ERP.
• Update order dates and quantities in ERP/MRP systems and maintain records.
• Monitor open orders, expedite critical items, and escalate issues as needed.
