Job summary

Champion Container Corp in Edison, NJ is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing purchasing team. The successful candidate will help manage purchase orders, coordinate with warehouse, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will review PO confirmations, assist with cycle counts, and ensure timely communication on orders and deliveries, while maintaining confidentiality of pricing and customer information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and maintain all aspects of routine Purchase Orders; review, follow-up and expedite as needed.
• Maintain and review purchasing documentation including PO confirmations and daily receiving.
• Assist in counting, entering and verifying physical inventory counts for daily cycle counts.
• Work closely with warehouse and other team members to ensure accurate inventory levels, receiving, deliveries and inter-branch transfers.
• Responsible for approval processes and setting up freight shipments.
• Provide timely and effective communication on purchase orders and deliveries.
• Perform related administrative functions to assist the purchasing team.
• Maintain confidentiality of pricing, sales and customer information.
