Champion Container Corp is seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant to join our purchasing department. The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor to support the purchasing staff and maintain supplier relationships.

Responsibilities include processing shipments paperwork, data entry, and coordinating with multiple warehouses. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30pm with no overtime or weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Perform heavy computer work and follow up with vendors.
• Coordinate with multiple warehouses and purchasing staff.
• Ensure paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently.
• Forecast demand where appropriate and ensure material supplies.
• Submit and process purchase orders and related payments.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Enter and analyze price changes in the system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and pricing.
• Assist in daily cycle counts and inventory verification.

Champion Container is searching for experienced candidates for the position of procurement specialist. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processing Paperwork for Incoming and Out-Going Shipments
• Heavy Computer Work and Follow up with Vendors
• Interaction with multiple Warehouses
• Support of Purchasing Staff
• Ensure any necessary paperwork is processed correctly and efficiently
• Where appropriate, forecast demand and assure material supplies support needs
• Perform functions associated with purchase order submission and payment
• Establish, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Ananyze and enter price changes in the system
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products
• Assist in the completion of counting, entering and verifying physical inventory for daily cycle counts
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information relating to pricing, sales and customer information
