Job summary

Viatris is seeking a procurement assistant to support the supply chain operations in West Virginia. You will process purchase orders, confirm specifications with requisitioners, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment.

You will act as a contact for vendors, maintain procurement records, and manage the laboratory's inventory and attendance records as part of a cross-functional team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; combination with experience considered.
  • Knowledge of GxP, SOPs and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement tools.

Key responsibilities
  • Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of supply needs.
  • Coordinate directly with purchase requisitioners to confirm specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.
  • Serve as contact for outside vendors.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Maintain the laboratory's chemical receipt inventory.
  • Maintain attendance records.
Minimum qualifications
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Must possess knowledge of GxPs, Standard Operating Procedures, and pertinent Guidelines.
  • Must possess knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and procurement programs.
  • Must possess strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must possess attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be accurate and precise in data entry.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and procurement programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment.
  • Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
Physical Demands
  • Typically sitting at a desk or table.
  • Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping.
  • May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps.

Compensation

Exact compensation may vary based on items such as skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position is: $37,000 - $80,000.
