Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Operator in West Virginia to join our manufacturing team. You will visually inspect the product during operation, assist with setup and running of production equipment, and help prepare rooms and equipment for inspection while keeping work areas clean and organized.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least two years of experience, plus the ability to wear a respirator and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the product during operation, observe equipment for proper operation, seek maintenance assistance and recommend improvements.
• Assist with the set up and running of Production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection and keep the area orderly.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
• Document material runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in the manufacturing operation as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a back up to Senior Operator as directed by the supervisor or manager.

Minimum qualifications for this role are

• High School diploma.
• Minimum of two years of experience (though a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration).
• Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to hear an alarm.
• Ability to identify small defects.
• Ability to distinguish between colours.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $30,000 - $49,000.
