Job summary

BWH Hotels in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a FF&E Purchasing Specialist to guide endorsed suppliers, ensure brand standards, and maximize value for hotel members through coordinated projects.

The hybrid role requires onsite presence at HQ on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with remote work on Tuesday and Thursday; office address 6201 N 24th Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years related customer service, sales and/or purchasing experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service to members by providing expertise and guidance for the purchase of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
  • Assesses member needs and ensures design coordination and standards.
  • Supports enhancements to member properties by analyzing and reviewing property improvement plan to develop course of action to complete requirements within a specified time frame.
  • Coordinates FF&E project for organized and timely delivery and installation.
  • Ensures best pricing by obtaining standard and custom price quotes from suppliers.
  • Negotiates pricing with supplier when special circumstances are present.
  • Guides, reinforces and educates members on current company FF&E guidelines specific to existing, conversion, and new construction properties.
  • Maintains communication with member properties by following up on quotes, product selection, additional selections, close of sale, order status, and payments.

Job Purpose

Supports the organization by providing expertise and guidance for the purchase of furniture, fixtures and equipment for hotel members that meet guidelines through endorsed suppliers. Through relationship management, project coordination, and supplier collaboration, this role helps members identify solutions that meet brand standards, achieve project goals, and maximize the value of endorsed purchasing programs.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Experience and Education
  • Minimum 3 years related customer service, sales and/or purchasing experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based business applications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work with large client base and on multiple projects.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with hotel members, internal departments, and suppliers.
  • Consultative selling and influencing skills with the ability to recommend solutions that align with member needs and company standards.
  • Provides guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Receives operational guidance on duties, service standards and goals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail in managing quotes, orders, installations, and member communications.
  • Familiar with company products and services and relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the job.
  • Resolves defined problems and separates and combines tasks for efficient workflow. Analyzes successes and setbacks to find solutions.
Work Location and Schedule
  • This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at our Headquarters location, with the option to work remote on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This hybrid model fosters intentional collaboration, teamwork, connection, and productivity, while still providing flexibility and work life balance.
