As we continue to build our purchasing Department, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive associate to join our team. The right candidate will work side by side partnering with the manager in taking the department to the next level.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a materials purchasing agent.
• Proficiency with MS OFFICE with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of material price structures and purchase order structures.
• Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC supplies preferred but not necessary.
• Understanding of vendor relationship structure.
• Must possess a sense of urgency and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of inventory/purchasing software ENCORE ECLIPSE a plus.
• Understanding of Manufacture Warranty Structure.

Responsibilities

• Follow up open purchase orders to ensure timely processing and delivery of inventory.
• Monitor price changes within processed Inventory purchase orders.
• Ensure timely placement and shipment or all material purchase orders.
• Monitor incoming departmental emails from material vendors.
• Monitor incoming departmental emails from inside sales.
• Update purchase order pricing where necessary.
• Assist Manager in Daily tasks as part of training process.
• Review inventory levels / Sales volume of key materials in order to assess necessary daily purchasing.
