ThyssenKrupp Materials NA, Inc. is seeking a procurement support specialist in the Detroit area to assist purchasing activities and Corporate Buyers. The role involves updating orders, handling delays, verifying vendor acknowledgements, and coordinating with receiving for paperwork.

The ideal candidate will have 6–12 months of experience, solid MS Office skills, and strong communication abilities to work with internal customers and purchasing contacts.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of relevant experience in purchasing or related roles.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and verifies vendor acknowledgements.
• Responds to sales with purchase order updates, date changes or delays.
• Proactively assists with purchase order updates – costs and delivery dates.
• Reconciles unbalanced invoices and works with buyers as needed.
• Establishes relationships with vendor inside sales contacts.
• Maintains reports and various file records as needed.
