Job summary

Bruker is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Associate for a temporary project based in Tucson, AZ. This on-site, part-time role (25 hours per week) supports inventory management, non-production purchases, and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in purchasing/shipping in a mechanical/industrial setting, proficiency with MS Office (Excel with VLOOKUP/Pivot), and forklift certification; 3PL experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in purchasing and shipping in commercial mechanical/industrial assembly.
• Hands-on Made2Manage or QAD experience.
• MS Office proficiency, including Excel with VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
• Current Forklift certification.
• Experience with third-party logistics providers (e.g., FedEx, DHL).
• Fluent English; strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a diverse global team; physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; US citizenship or permanent residency; may require security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory management and material movement with Sr. Buyer/Planner.
• Create and implement non-blanket purchase orders for production parts.
• Maintain contact with suppliers regarding late or impending orders.
• Enter data for parts and weekly cycle counts.
• Purchase non-production items (office, supplies, R&D).
• Pickup parts from local suppliers when timely delivery is required.
• Perform shipping duties to maintain daily logistics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Please note this is a temp role offered by Bruker. If hired into role, you will be employed with a 3rd party service provider to Bruker. Position is based out of our Tucson, AZ offices and requires onsite presence.

New opportunity with the Bruker BioSpin SII Team based in Tucson Arizona for a Purchasing and Logistics Associate on a temporary part time project basis (25 hours per week)

• Partner with the Sr. Buyer/ Planner to coordinate inventory management and material movement
• Create and implement purchase orders (non-blanket) for production parts
• Maintain regular contact and follow up with suppliers regarding impending or late orders
• Perform data entry based on the parts and weekly cycle counts performed by the manufacturing team
• Purchase non-production parts (e.g., office and breakroom supplies, R&D request items)
• Pick up parts at local suppliers when timely delivery is required
• Perform shipping duties as required to maintain daily logistics requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years work experience involving both purchasing and shipping functions within a commercial mechanical or industrial assembly work environment
• Hands-on Made2Manage or QAD experience
• Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel expertise with VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
• Current Forklift certification
• Prior commercial work experience with third-party logistics (3PL) companies(, e.g. FedEx, DHL)
• Advanced MS Office, oral, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent oral and written English language proficiency.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with close attention to detail, focus on precise work and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a commitment to operational excellence in a diverse global team work environment
• Proven ability to perform a physically active job that continuously requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, lifting, and moving objects up to 50 pounds throughout the work schedule
• Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
• Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements
• Ability to maintain current knowledge of company tools, products, and applications
• Reliable transportation and valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
