Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/WMS systems.
  • Experience in purchasing, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with vendor relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing strategies, demand planning, pricing analysis, and materials handling.

Responsibilities

  • Create replenishment orders based on purchasing guidelines and inventory reports.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively help prevent material shortages.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, production schedules, and delivery dates.
  • Track open purchase orders and ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Communicate with Shipping, Receiving, Production, and suppliers to resolve delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, tracking spreadsheets, and ERP system data.
  • Escalate potential delays or supply issues before they impact production.
  • Ensure all orders are completed and received accurately.

Duties

The primary goal is to ensure materials are always available when needed, shipments stay on schedule, and production continues without interruption. You will work under the direction of the Purchasing Department Lead.
