Job summary

BG Foods in Parsippany, NJ is seeking a procurement professional to support spend data analytics, category market research, and strategic sourcing activities.

You will assist budgeting, identify tail-spend opportunities, track supplier performance, and help ensure pricing and contract accuracy across functions such as R&D, Quality, Finance and AP.

This role requires a BA/BS and 2–3 years in procurement, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years procurement or supply chain experience.
• Analytical thinking with ability to develop strategies and measurable implementations.
• Strong self-starter with prioritization and milestone setting.

Responsibilities

• Spend data analytics and category market research.

Spend data analytics Category market research Supports Strategic Sourcing process activities Business Continuity planning and tracking Supports Financial budgeting process Identify Tail Spend opportunities Supports and tracks key Supplier performance metrics and contractual commitments (rebates, productivity, equipment amortization, etc.) Supports the collection of quality specifications and documents Pricing: Validation of price change requests according to contract stipulations. Supports contract price entry and updates in the system. Invoice kick-out and price discrepancy resolution Manage activities related to loading new Suppliers into the System Cross-Functional interaction with R&D, Quality, Finance, Marketing, Planning and Accounts Payable

Experience, Skills, Education

Bachelor's Degree required 2-3 years relevant procurement or supply chain experience required. Co-Op or internship experience in procurement will be considered in lieu of experience Proven analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementations required Must be a self-starter, who is proactive and takes advantage of opportunities, without being asked Must possess capability to set priorities, establish objectives and milestones, and identify or allocate resources appropriately Must possess a strong work ethic Excellent presentation and communication skills needed Must be proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel

Compensation

Hiring Pay Range: $58,575.00 - $78,100.00 Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
