Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a production planning and procurement professional to manage daily requirements, release forecasts to vendors, and ensure timely replenishment of parts to meet the production schedule. You will coordinate ETD tracking, address defective items, and support KPI reporting and audits.

The role involves onsite operations, daily coordination with suppliers, and handling subcontract orders to maintain smooth manufacturing flow.

Responsibilities

• Manage/update daily production requirements and release forecasts to vendors.
• Confirm ETD status for shipments weekly with vendors.
• Address defective parts and process returns with vendors (RMA).
• Monitor shipping containers and coordinate transport with agencies daily.
• Track BOM changes and GI/pending items for manufacturing.
• Manage subcontract orders and confirmations (parts, GI, PO).
• Provide HQ KPI reports and support audits and management reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary

This position has responsibility for accurate PSI, forecasting and releasing of order to vendors and efficient movement of inventory by tracking requirements for production and sharing inventory forecasts. It is also responsible for ensuring that parts are consistently replenished in order to meet the production schedule on time without delay.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Manage/update daily requirements for production to release forecast to vendors and confirm order, including PR (Parts Required] to PO, PCR [Purchase Order Cancel Request] to get parts on time without delay.
2. Confirm/request/track ETD [expected time delivery] for each shipment weekly to vendors.
3. Fix defective issue of parts and process rejected materials and refunds with vendors (RMA).
4. Tracks shipping containers and coordinates agencies for transport on a daily basis.
5. Monitor BOM change with PE and process M to M/701-702 for GI pending.
6. Manage subcontract orders (parts, stock confirm, GI confirm, PO).
7. Provide HQ KPI Reports and support Audit and management report.
8. All other duties as assigned.
