This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center/Command, Aviation Logistics Division (ALD), Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for the acquisition and micro purchasing procedures of supplies and services. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Reviewing and analyzing requests for procurement, obtaining revisions to the statement of work or specifications, and deciding on agency source and method of procurement. Providing training to personnel on proper submission of procurement requests.

Compiling and maintaining an audit ready electronic purchase card file for each request. Initiating requests for quotations and evaluating offers received. Keeping all original records, paper or electronic, well-organized and readily available.

This position does not have a positive education requirement. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States. To receive this credit, you must submit evidence of equivalency as provided by a credentialling evaluation service. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence with your application.
