Purchasing Agent - Milford, CT

Our client, a manufacturing-focused organization, is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the purchase of materials and supplies, maintaining vendor relationships, supporting inventory needs, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure production requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for materials, components, and operational supplies.
• Source and communicate with vendors to support quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Review purchasing requests and prepare purchase orders as needed.
• Track orders and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Support inventory planning and material availability for production activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing priorities and requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
