Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks a full-time Purchasing Agent at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE.

Responsibilities Of Purchasing Agent

1. Perform a variety of procurement functions to obtain the highest quality goods and services, including machinery, equipment, tooling, repairs, and parts, to achieve the optimum value for the organization.
2. Evaluate, coordinate, and monitor shipments to ensure efficient operation while maintaining quality and cost.
3. Manage the acquisition of assigned commodities from concept to completion and manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and service.
4. Correspond with internal customers and outside suppliers to ensure procurement-related requirements are met.
5. Handle purchasing functions such as quoting, negotiating, placing orders, handling quality issues, follow-up for on-time delivery, expediting, and maintaining the purchasing budget.
6. Research and identify specialized resources inside or outside the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation.

Qualifications For Purchasing Agent

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years of related experience.
2. Proficiency with computers and applications such as Excel and Lotus Notes.
3. Experience with reading blueprints and handling negotiations is preferred.
