The Purcell Public Library, part of the Pioneer Library System, seeks a Branch Manager in Purcell, OK. This full-time leadership role oversees staff, collections, and customer service, aligning programming with system goals while building partnerships in the community.
The successful candidate holds an MLIS (preferred) or equivalent, a Bachelor's degree, and at least three years of library experience including supervision.

The manager of Purcell Public Library has the opportunity to lead an energetic and creative staff in Purcell, a fast-growing and family-focused community, and provide world-class customer service. In addition to supervising staff and overseeing a diverse collection, the branch manager is responsible for aligning branch programming and initiatives with the overall strategies and goals of the Pioneer Library System. As a leader in the civic and business community, the branch manager works to build and advance partnerships with organizations that support our mission.

PLS helps our customers explore life’s pathways in several ways. We work to expand our services, finding innovative ways for area residents to secure access to library services. We mobilize to provide an experience that enables customers to take the library with them wherever they go. We accelerate to expand the library’s digital collection and increase the number of customers accessing e-content. We inspire, viewing our role in early literacy and youth and teen education as paramount, PLS seeks the broad-based participation of families through spaces and experiences that inspire. And we will lead the digital revolution by utilizing technologies to increase internal productivity and reduce costs, and we will expand and support digital opportunities for our customers.

Schedule: Full-time position, 40 hours per week, works a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, in addition up to two weeks of "Mandatory New Hire Orientation & Training" located at the Administrative Offices in Norman, OK.
Salary: Compensation based on education, qualifications & experience: MLIS or Master’s Degree preferred: $62,800/yr (Plus excellent benefits package).
