Job summary

Cardinal-Scale-Manufacturing,-Co is seeking a brake press operator in Webb City, MO. You will set up and operate brake presses and related machines in a fabrication environment, ensuring parts meet specs and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma and prefers 2 years of factory experience with similar equipment. Working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of factory/manufacturing experience with similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of brake press and/or other machines to support the operation.
• Movement and positioning of workpieces into machine either manually or with the hoist.
• Selects feed rate, cutting speed, depth of cut, and tooling to be used.
• Verification that finished work is in conformance, and may machine plastics or non-metal products on occasion.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results, and completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
• Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, and may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Material handling, forklift operations, hand trucks, and some lifting, pulling and pushing.

Salary Range: $18.80 To $22.00 Hourly

Summary/Objective

The brake press operator is responsible for handling all machine press operations for the organization and may be required to operate other machines in the fabrication department.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
