Job summary

M&R Printing Equipment, Inc. in Roselle, IL is seeking a Punch Press Operator to set up and operate CNC turret presses to produce precision parts in accordance with specifications.

This full-time role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, reading blueprints, and performing inspections with calipers and protractors. Experience with CNC machines and turret presses is preferred; strong computer literacy and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines
• Experience operating a Turret Punch Press a plus
• Knowledge of blueprint reading highly desired
• Perform inspections using calipers, protractors, and measuring angles
• Ability to use a computer
• Mechanical and technical skills
• Inspect and maintain equipment with safety requirements
• Capable of doing repetitive movements
• At least 3 years of experience in Fabrication
• Daily standing position and lifting a variety of parts, sizes, and weights. (Up to 60 lbs.)

Responsibilities

• Plan new setups, call up proper program, check setup sheet with turret station board to determine tool placement needs to perform operations such as punching embossing, notching, forming, and shearing.
• Load tools in tool holders and index as indicated in the tool sheet.
• Input program and set material holders in proper position on table.
• Run sample part and check dimensions and operations performed against print and adjust tool positions or replace tools as necessary.
• Operate machine, load and unload parts following machine cycle, check work for required operations and specifications, and place finished parts on skid.
• Monitor machine for proper operation, add oil to the reservoir and replace tools as necessary.
• Prepare job tickets, scrap, and daily production records.
• Notify Group Leader of unusual machine or material problems.
• Stack and move material as required.
