Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a Punch/Knockout Operator for on-site work in Almena, WI. This full-time role starts at $27.43 per hour.

You will ensure product quality and appearance, perform PLC data entry, and maintain wash systems and chemical concentrations, including aseptic sampling and punch machine operation. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, basic reading/communication skills, computer proficiency, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED accepted; 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Proficient in computer use; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, and food safety policies; sanitation focused.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain regular attendance.
• Able to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the quality and appearance of the product.
• Complete data entry and PLC machine setup.
• Maintain 701 washer and chemical concentrations.
• Conduct aseptic cheese sampling.
• Operate natamycin bath and maintain concentration.
• Operate punch machine and metal detector.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Monitor and perform punch machine needle checks.
• Complete all production documentation per requirements.
• Perform sanitation and preops as needed.
