Job summary

Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis-based subsidiary of Grundfos, seeks an experienced Project Manager/Engineer to join its Water-Industry Project Management team in Indianapolis. You will manage light engineered project orders, serving as the primary customer contact to ensure on-time delivery of rotating equipment.

This role requires a four-year technical or engineering degree, strong rotating equipment knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Four-year technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience in design, applications, or contract management.
• Strong background with rotating equipment including drivers, controls, and system interfaces.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Conduct contract reviews to verify scope of supply including performance guarantees, documentation, calculations, and testing requirements.
• Manage and compile submittal packages including drawings, production schedules, inspection and test plans, and progress reports for customer approval.
• Initiate procurement of major buyout items such as motors, controllers, and engines, coordinating with purchasing and production to maintain delivery schedules.
• Build production packages with product-specific manufacturing and test instructions, and follow up through each production phase to keep projects on target.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, defending scope of supply and protecting the company from financial liability due to scope deviations.
• Close out projects by finalizing all documentation, O&M manuals, commissioning support, and progress payment notices.
