OSM Thome Limited is seeking an experienced Pumpman for a chemical tanker sailing in the High Risk Area (HRA). The role focuses on operating and maintaining cargo pumps, pipelines and manifolds to support safe cargo operations.

You will work with deck officers and crew during loading, discharging, stripping and tank cleaning, ensuring safety in chemical handling and adherence to pollution prevention procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Join OSM Thome as Pumpman on a chemical tanker sailing in HRA. We are looking for an experienced seafarer to operate and maintain cargo pumps and pipelines, supporting safe and efficient cargo operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor cargo pumps, lines, valves, and manifolds during cargo operations
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on cargo pumps and related equipment
• Assist deck officers and crew during loading, discharging, stripping, and tank cleaning
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and follow all safety and pollution prevention procedures
• Keep pump room and cargo areas clean, safe, and well-organized

Requirements:

• Previous experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for service
• Good knowledge of cargo pumping systems and chemical handling
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work well in a team
