Job summary

K2 Space Corporation is building the largest high‑power satellites, advancing from design to rate production. You will spearhead the clean‑sheet manufacturing for the Pumped Fluid Loop, ensuring manufacturability, prototyping, tooling, and a smooth transition from design to production.

You will set up the fluid components work center and iterate the station in year one to reach full production readiness. You will lead collaborations with design engineers and technicians to refine tooling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or computer).
• 3+ years in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience creating, improving, and deleting production processes/workflows.
• Experience interacting with CAD models and software.
• Experience qualifying components and assemblies (vibration/thermal).
• Experience assembling fluid systems.
• Knowledge of leak testing methods.
• Experience in a clean room environment with ESD-sensitive equipment.
• Experience creating GSE, tooling, or fixtures for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the work center to manufacture and assemble the Pumped Fluid Loop for the program.
• Lead DFM efforts with design teams to optimize cost, quality, scalability, and risk.
• Develop manufacturing plans and build flows for satellite fluid systems.
• Develop and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies and tooling to increase production rate.
• Collaborate with engineers to disposition nonconformances and plan corrective actions.
• Serve as the manufacturing point of contact for system fill, proof, and leak testing.
• Develop capacity models and ramp strategies to support rapid growth.
