Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Repair existing pump and valve builds, including pump cleaning, disassembly, evaluation to determine cause of failure, repair, re-assembly, and testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently repair and test multiple components such as longwall pumps, longwall valves, fluid couplings, drillheads, mechanical power transmission devices, hydraulic valves, piston pumps and motors, gear pumps and motors, air compressors or tools, Deron products, and new products as technology advances.
- Operate machinery used in the repair and production of pumps/valves and related components.
- Perform general labor related to pumps and valves, such as washing parts, painting, and cleaning.
- Accurately use and read micrometers.
- Enhance professional growth and development as technology advances.
- Perform duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing and operations or related education/training.
- Appropriate IFPS certification may be required.
- Work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Perform essential job duties safely and successfully, meeting productivity standards in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent walking and standing.
- Bend, push, pull, lift, and carry parts frequently.
- Work safely and adhere to the Swanson Safety System daily.
