Job summary

Q2 Artificial Lift Services in Big Spring, TX seeks a Pump Shop Technician I to support shop operations by assisting with cleaning, inspection, assembly and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment. This role ensures equipment is prepared safely and efficiently while supporting inventory, shipping, and general shop activities.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, stock receiving, basic assembly, tool use and general shop duties while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 education.
• Oil & Gas experience considered an asset.
• Technical aptitude.
• Valid Driver’s License & Clean abstract.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist cleaning, inspection, assembly and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment.
• Support inventory, shipping, and general shop activities.
• Load/Unload field trucks and 3rd party trucks.
• Stock receiving.
• General Administrative Duties like stock orders, computer use, answering phones.
• Washing floors and housekeeping of office space and shop.

Position Summary

The Pump Shop Technician I supports shop operations by assisting with the cleaning, inspection, assembly, and handling of rod pumps and oilfield equipment. This role ensures equipment is prepared safely and efficiently while supporting inventory, shipping, and general shop activities.

Basic Employee Responsibilities

• Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a manager or request for assistance as needed.

Position Specific Responsibilities

• Pick up & delivery of rod pumps and well-site equipment
• Load/Unload field trucks and/or 3rd party trucks
  • Stock receiving
  • Manual lifting
  • Use of forklift
  • Spotter/helper for trucking companies
• Clean & inspect rod pumps & oilfield equipment
  • Use of solvents
  • Use of supplied API approved tools
  • Use of mechanical part washers

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 education.
