Hydro, Inc. is seeking a Pump Repair Operations Project Manager in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on coordinating production targets, WIP management, and collaboration with shop personnel and outside contractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review WIP log and align monthly production targets with leadership.
• Coordinate production with manager and shop superintendent to meet quotas and margins.
• Manage flow of work between shop and outside contractors, including site visits and final acceptance.
• Communicate WIP status to account managers and stakeholders.
• Log WIP accurately to support monthly and quarterly billing projections.
• Collaborate with EPR group to generate travelers and leverage the Avante system.
• Support health and safety recordkeeping and assist in safety committee tasks.
• Conduct pre-quote inspections at competitors’ facilities and develop detailed proposals.
• Partner with EPR test engineers to learn test stand operations and provide data for sign-off.
